This course is subsidized under the Government of South Australia's Flexible Industry Pathway (FIP) initiative. To be eligible for access to a subsidized training place in an approved course, a school student must meet the following criteria:

  • Residency & Status: Must be an Australian citizen or New Zealand citizen, a permanent Australian resident, or an eligible visa holder residing in South Australia.
  • School Enrolment:
    • Enrolled in Year 10, 11, or 12 and employed in a Training Contract that combines VET and school-based curriculum (including SACE); OR
    • Enrolled in Year 11, 12, or 13 and are 16 years of age (or turning 16 in the current year) and undertaking SACE or equivalent.
  • Pathways: Must have completed a preparatory VET pathway. Training providers must sight evidence of this completion per Departmental guides.
  • Fees:
    • VETRO Funding: Eligible students pay a Participant Fee of $600 or a Concession Fee of $400.
    • Fee-for-Service: Students who do not meet the VETRO eligibility criteria may enroll at a rate of $2500.
  • Eligibility Check: Students can check their eligibility via https://providers.skills.sa.gov.au/vet-for-school-students.

  • Student must reside in South Australia
  • Enrolled in Year 10, 11, or 12 (with specific criteria for those in Year 10)
  • Have completed a preparatory VET pathway
  • Students are required to complete the LLND Assessment
LLND Requirements

All prospective students must complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) assessment to ensure they have the foundational communication skills required for an education and care setting.
