This course is subsidized under the Government of South Australia's Flexible Industry Pathway initiative.

  • Option 1 (VETRO Funding): Participant fee of $500 OR Concession fee of $300.
  • Option 2 (Fee-for-service): $2500 for students who do not meet eligibility criteria for VETRO funding.
  • Eligibility: Student must be an Australian/New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa holder residing in South Australia. Student must be in Year 10-12 (with a Training Contract) or Year 11-13 (undertaking SACE and turning 16). Completion of a preparatory VET pathway is required.

Academic Entry Requirements

  • Student must be enrolled in a South Australian high school.
  • Student must reside in South Australia.
  • Generally enrolled in Year 10, 11, or 12.
  • Students are required to complete the LLND Assessment.
  • LLND Requirements

    Prospective students must complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) assessment to ensure they have the foundational skills required for health and community services.

    • Students should have an interest in either Aged Care or Disability.
    • Students should have good communication skills and a compassionate, caring nature.
    • Mandatory National Police Clearance AND/OR NDIS Clearance ($64.50 – $99).
    • Valid Flu vaccination within 6 months of commencing placement.
    Computer Requirements

    • Operating System: Windows 10/11 or Mac OS X 10.13 or above.
    • Hardware: Minimum 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD recommended.
    • Connectivity: Reliable high-speed internet access for online learning components.
    • Software: Ability to access the Moodle Learning Management System and Microsoft Office 365.
