Course Description

This skill set builds staff capability to safely support clients with medication administration across various care environments. Training covers medication types, administration procedures, legal requirements, documentation, and risk minimisation. It is ideal for organisations looking to upskill support workers, strengthen compliance, and reduce medication-related incidents.

Compliance – National Law Section 162A
Queensland’s protocol requires nominated supervisors, persons in day-to-day charge, and family day care coordinators to complete an approved child protection unit. Accepted units include CHCPRT025 (current), CHCPRT001, CHCPRT026, CHCPRT002 (superseded), or CHCECE057. Training must be delivered by an RTO.

  • Must be an Existing Worker in Community Services or Health (including parents or unpaid carers of NDIS participants).
  • Recommended: sound literacy and numeracy.
